This photo is something a little bit different, I saw this elaborately decorated entrance as I walked past the cathedral. The stone that surrounds the doorway has recently been restored, the detail is so fine and intricate. The way that it was lit by the sun instantly drew my eye to it. The elegant carvings surrounding the door create texture and interest while the symmetry is just stunning. The shadows that are cast across the door add a bit of drama and build tension.
