Still Silhouette by the Sea

I like this photo because the sea is so still and peaceful yet the silhouette of the rig behind provides drama. I like the natural greyscale of this photo, I have not edited it or used filters, it is just a dull, overcast day which creates a sense of tension. The black outlines with their straight edges create a bold statement against the soft edges of the clouds which in turn draws your eye to the large rig. I like how you can see the Tay bridge in the far off distance, yet how you have to look carefully to see it, this creates a feeling of depth and perspective.
